AJAX WebService Component

In modern Web applications, the AJAX components bring new power into applications and portals, making user interface friendly and interactive. And at server-side, the common way to exchange between servers and clients is "WebServices".

Usually, programmers need to make such server side code to invoke 3rd party services, and provide certain intercommunication between browser and its' server side to operate with 3rd party web services. In practice it means you need specific proxies for every web service you need to populate to users, even you need to find currency exchange, moon/sun calendars, and more.

We offer new simple and efficient way, based entirely to client-side solutions, to operate with WebServices; there is AJAX WebService Component. Just forget about proxies you did before; muse web services directly from browser.

What is AJAX WebService Component

The AJAX, or DHTML, WebService component provides simple, efficient and high compatible way to invoke any kind of Web Services directly from JavaScript, without any server-side parts to be used. It was designed especially for modern AJAX/DHTML-based applications, and provides new level of interoperability in your applications and portals.

AJAX WebService Component introduces support of both standard ways to invoke: RPC style and Document-style. It provides efficient and fast ways to collect information from any web service, and operate with WebServices by simple and user friendly way.

AJAX WebService Component has the following possibilities:

  • automatic recognition of WSDL definitions
  • meta-information retrieval for all WebService' operations by simple URL
  • support of complex types, arrays, lists, and more
  • specifically tuned for .NET and Java vendors of WebServices
  • easy and efficient invocation of WebServices both RPC and Document styles
  • full encapsulation of complex types and arrays
  • complete creation of requests and support all relevant responses
  • custom types and ability to make custom XML for certain types
  • code generation by existing WSDL to provide component-based objects directly in JavaScript (optional, commercial license required)
  • Web-based WebService Explorer as common solution to explore web services directly from browser without 3rd party libraries and components
AJAX WebService Component requirements:
  • any modern browser (Firefox, IE, Opera) with enabled JavaScript

As additional benefits, AJAX WebService Component reduces traffic from your servers and avoids necessity to operate with XML requests and responses from/to WebService at server side.

What is AJAX WebService Component

AJAX WebService Component was designed for causal and regular usage in any applications that needs access to WebService to make that access without additional programming.

In other point, the WebService Explorer is dedicated development tool with rich abilities to explore, research and call 3rd party WebServices and it can be used for many purposes as with AJAX WebService Component as without it. And the WebService Explorer has the same possibilities as component (except code generation).
